Anne Brandon focuses her practice on providing sophisticated strategic advice and counsel to a diverse portfolio of clients on complex international trade and customs law matters. She guides clients in implementing cost mitigation strategies while ensuring robust trade compliance, and effectively navigating interactions with federal agencies responsible for enforcing the laws and regulations governing global trade.

Anne advises clients on a wide range of duty reduction opportunities, including First Sale for Export programs, non-dutiable charges and costs, Chapter 98 provisions, Temporary Import Bonds, tariff engineering, and sourcing diversification.  She also supports clients in achieving comprehensive trade compliance through country of origin determinations, complex valuation analyses including for related party transactions, HTSUS and other classification assessments, and due diligence for Free Trade Agreement (FTA) programs.

In her trade advocacy work, Anne prepares prior disclosures, ruling requests, protests, petitions for relief for liquidated damages and penalty notices, post-summary corrections, and responses to a range of US government actions, including CBP-28 and CBP-29 notices, and has represented clients before agencies such as US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), and the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).  Her depth of experience enables clients to proactively manage risk, optimize duty savings, and maintain defensible compliance programs in an ever-changing and highly regulated trade environment.

Anne’s experience spans a wide range of industries, including apparel and luxury goods, automotive, consumer products, health and wellness, industrial manufacturing, chemicals, cryptocurrency, electronics, medical technology, oil and gas, and pharmaceuticals.  

Originally from Northern Ireland, Anne has lived in the US for 14 years, first in New York City and now in New Hampshire.

Founder and Attorney with over 30 years of experience in international business and trade law. His practice often centers on sensitive investigations, self-disclosures, penalties, enforcement, compliance, and litigation involving antiboycott regulations, customs, export controls, economic sanctions, FCPA/antibribery, and government procurement.
Specializing in international trade, with a focus on export controls, economic sanctions, and U.S. imports, she advises clients in sectors like aerospace, defense, automotive, and telecommunications. Originally from Massachusetts, she is based in the Firm’s Fort Lauderdale office.
A key part of the Firm since its inception, Andrea Tommasini joined its predecessor in the late 1990s. Over the years, she has managed a variety of substantive client matters and supported numerous attorneys, along with handling business development and administrative tasks.

A graduate of Cleveland State University College of Law, her research has focused on FAA launch licensing, international coordination on the moon, and public-private partnerships for spaceports.
A former Sr. Auditor and Team Leader at U.S. Customs & Border Protection, Kathleen August brings 34 years of government experience to her role as an International Trade Advisor. She helps businesses interpret complex trade regulations, enhance compliance programs, and identify opportunities for duty savings across multiple industries.
