Firm Welcomes Seasoned Export Controls and National Security Counsel

Rachel Small has joined Yormick Law, as Counsel.  She is an experienced export controls and national security attorney, previously holding roles at DDTC, HSI, and OFAC.  Rachel focuses on the aerospace, defense, space, and technology sectors regarding compliance with the ITAR, the EAR, and OFAC sanctions regimes.

Most recently, before joining Yormick Law, Rachel served as Assistant General Counsel, Global Trade, at Leidos, a multinational defense contractor, advising on export controls, sanctions compliance, and national security regulatory obligations.  Previously, Rachel was a National Security Attorney at the boutique law firm, Fluet.

Rachel’s government service spans from her native Australia, as a Senior Attorney in the International Criminal Division of the Attorney-General’s Department to the US, serving as a Policy Analyst, as well as Regulatory and Multilateral Affairs Analyst, at the State Department, a Compliance Specialist, Enforcement Division at DDTC, and a Sanctions Enforcement Officer at OFAC.
