Anne Brandon Joins Yormick Law, Adding to the Customs & Import Controls Practice

Yormick Law is pleased to announce that Anne Brandon has joined the Firm as an Associate.  Anne joins the Firm from KPMG, where she served as an International Trade Senior Associate.  Her practice focuses on Customs & Import Controls, as well as export controls and international trade matters.  

Anne has worked with clients across a diverse range of industries, including apparel and luxury products, aerospace and defense, alcohol, automotive, chemicals, cryptocurrency, electronics, medical technology, oil and gas, and pharmaceuticals.  

Anne regularly works with clients to analyze and implement duty mitigation strategies, including First Sale programs, dutiable value cost “unbundling,” Chapter 98 duty-exempt provisions, and transfer pricing adjustments.  Her trade compliance counselling work includes country of origin determinations, conducting valuation analyses, preparing ruling requests, performing Schedule B/HTS Code classification analyses, drafting trade compliance guidelines and conducting due diligence for Free Trade Agreement (“FTA”) programs.  

Her trade advocacy includes preparing Protests, prior disclosures, license requests, and responses to actions by various federal agencies, including the US Customs and Border Protection (“CBP”), the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), and the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (“TTB”).

Anne earned her Juris Doctor, from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was a Law Dean’s Scholarship recipient, received the Pro Bono Promoter award in recognition of outstanding public service work, and served as an Articles Editor of the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal (“AELJ”).  She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Bristol, and Master of Studies degree from the University of Oxford. 

Anne is admitted to practice in New York and New Hampshire.

Originally from Northern Ireland, Anne has lived in the US for 14 years, initially in New York City and now resides in New Hampshire.  She previously served as a Logistics Manager at Perrotin Gallery and Tour and Exhibitions Coordinator for Christie’s Inc.
