its predecessor firm in the late 1990s.\u00a0 During that time, she has handled a wide range of substantive matters for clients and the many attorneys she has worked with over the years, along with business development and administrative assignments.<\/p>\n<p>After several years of mainly supporting attorneys on international and domestic commercial litigation, for more than 15 years, Andrea concentrates on handling matters relating to the Firm\u2019s Customs &amp; Import Controls, the International Trade &amp; National Security, and the Government Investigations, Enforcement &amp; Compliance practices.<\/p>\n<p>Among her work, Andrea has the primary responsibility for reviewing and preparing clients\u2019s documents for submission to US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regarding prior disclosures, responses to Requests for Information (CBP-28), proposed Notices of Action (CBP-29), and Pre-Penalty Notices, Petitions for Relief relating to penalties issued under 19 USC \u00a7 1526 (merchandise bearing counterfeit marks), 19 USC \u00a7 1592 (fraud, gross negligence, and negligence), 19 USC \u00a7 1595a (aiding unlawful importation), Protests, and ruling requests.\u00a0 Additionally, Andrea works directly with clients to address HTSUS classification, Section 301 duties and exclusions, and antidumping\/countervailing duty issues relating to scope, administrative proceedings, liquidation, and customs bonds.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Andrea has similar experience regarding the Firm\u2019s International Trade &amp; National Security practice, including preparing export and reexport license applications and Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) Commodity Classification for Commodity Classification Automated Tracking System (CCATS) requests to the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), specific license applications for submission to the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), voluntary self-disclosures for submission to
