agreements, Customs law, and regulatory compliance.<\/p><p>Alexandre advises clients on the drafting, review, negotiation, and administration of a wide range of domestic and international commercial agreements, including agency, confidentiality, distribution, procurement, sales, service, and supplier agreements, as well as other cross-border commercial transactions. He helps clients identify legal and commercial risks, strengthen contractual protections, and navigate compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.<\/p><p>Alexandre\u2019s international trade practice encompasses Customs and import compliance matters, including duty reduction strategies, non-dutiable charges and costs, Chapter 98 provisions, trade due diligence, country-of-origin determinations, sourcing diversification, and Schedule B\/HTS classification analyses. Alexandre also represents clients in US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) enforcement matters, preparing protests, petitions for relief from liquidated damages and penalty notices, and responses to government requests and investigations.<\/p><p>In addition, Alexandre counsels clients on US and international export controls and economic sanctions compliance. He conducts sanctions-related open-source intelligence (OSINT) due diligence research and assists companies in developing and implementing trade compliance policies and procedures.\u00a0<\/p><p>Originally from Bordeaux, France, Alexandre studied law in France, England, and the US, which give him a strong understanding of the UK and EU legal and regulatory frameworks, including compliance with applicable directives and regulations.
